About the Campaign
The most ambitious campaign in the school's history, the NMH 130th Anniversary Campaign began quietly in 2001. Since then, 12,000 alumni, parents, and friends have contributed more than $65 million to support financial aid, endowment, the Annual Fund, and special capital projects. By June 30, 2009, coinciding with the school's 130th anniversary and a gala opening of the Rhodes Arts Center, we aim to reach our goal of $80 million.
What's at the heart of this historic campaign? The same thing that lies at the heart of NMH: educating young people to ask hard questions and do good work. At the heart of the NMH education is the certainty that compassionate intelligence, clear values, and diligence are the right tools for students to carry with them; an effective and innovative academic program underpins this commitment to live thoughtfully and contribute generously.
At NMH, we challenge the head, engage the heart, and enlist the hand of every student. I know of no other school whose mission resonates so clearly with its students, alumni, and parents, and I am proud to be part of this forward-looking moment. Our success in this campaign expresses how deeply we believe in who we are and the relevance of what we do.
